Robert Tate Sedam

Robert Tate Sedam was in battles from Fort Donaldson to Shiloh, Jackson, Champion Hill (near Vicksburg). He was captured and taken to Andersonville prison. He was lucky to survive the atrocious conditions at the camp and part of a prisoner exchange that took right near the end of the war. He went back home married and emigrated to South Dakota where he became a member of the state legislature.
